MINDLESS MEANDER
This series started in 2015 as a therapeutic distraction, during a very stressful time. Something to mindlessly stitch as a way to unwind. The meditative process of slow stitching lowers the heart rate and clears the head, even if just for a few brief moments. Anna now does a little bit of stitching every day. #MindlessMeander

Materials and techniques:
A series of irregular shaped mini quilts were created by hand piecing and hand quilting a variety of discarded scraps onto wool blanket pieces, which let the existing shape of the materials guide the design. The edges of two completely different shaped quilts were then joined, with a quilt-as-you-go binding, to see what 3D forms and folds could be created.
